Job Purpose
Develop and manage innovation and competitiveness strategy, operational plan, and indicators at the corporate level; manage projects and initiatives that support innovation; raise innovation maturity and oversee performance in innovation.
Key Results & Accountabilities
- Participate in corporate innovation committees/teams; implement suggestions supporting organizational innovation directions.
- Prepare periodic reports on performance indicators and strategic initiatives for innovation; provide recommendations.
- Manage innovation & competitiveness tasks in the Innovation, Research & Development Center and innovation labs; submit performance reports for all initiatives.
- Oversee innovation maturity index, perception reports, sector/agency assessments; create gap-closure plans and update the maturity model.
- Measure innovation maturity indicators across agencies/sectors and prepare for assessment.
- Follow up innovation management criterion workplan with sector/agency innovation teams; prepare excellence committee reports; supervise team performance.
- Prepare workplans and gap-closure plans aligned with Dubai Government Excellence.
- Design awareness programs for innovation & competitiveness strategy and policies.
- Develop, implement, and follow up ideas management system.
- Manage innovation & competitiveness initiatives/projects and track project performance.
- Develop strategy indicators and KPIs at sector/agency level.
- Build innovation culture programs; design training & development for innovation/competitiveness.
- Develop local/international cooperation and manage strategic partnerships with innovation centers, public/private and academic institutions.
- Oversee innovation laboratories implementation and development.
- Develop policies, procedures, general framework, processes, and indicators for innovation.
- Design and maintain general framework for innovation & competitiveness (policies/processes/procedures).
- Develop/manage corporate innovation & competitiveness strategy and annual operational plan.
- Create collaboration framework with startups; follow up implementation.
- Develop/implement intellectual property (IP) system.
- Study & monitor future trends in innovation/competitiveness/creativity; provide recommendations.
- Prepare innovation management criterion submission (per Dubai Government Excellence).
- Information Security: strictly follow policies, data-sharing guidelines, incident reporting, training/awareness, and managerial instructions.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s in Business Administration or Information Technology (recognized university).
- Experience: 11 years.
