Job summary

Abu Dhabi Ports seeks a seasoned HSE professional to ensure full compliance with UAE regulatory requirements and the Abu Dhabi Ports Integrated Health Safety and Environment Management System ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, while maintaining a safe, secure and efficient environment in a high-visibility public setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Higher Diploma or Diploma in Engineering/ Science/HSE
• NEBOSH Diploma or IGC (mandatory)
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent HSE achievement certificate
• AD EHS Practitioner Certificate
• Preferably Lead Auditor Certificate in OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001
• Preferably COSHH, Advance First Aid, HSE Risk Management, Control of Major Accident Hazards certificates
• Strong knowledge of Integrated Management Systems, risk assessment methodologies, and emergency management frameworks
• Computer knowledge; Microsoft Office
• Language Skills: Excellent in Arabic & English (Speak, Read, and write)

Responsibilities

• The candidate shall demonstrate strong experience in managing HSE in high-footfall public environments where safety, operational continuity, and customer experience are critical.
• Proven experience in marine or waterfront operations, including vessel interface risks and marina management, is required.
• The role requires experience in contractor management, event safety, emergency response coordination, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical capability to assess incident trends and implement effective control measures is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and enforce HSE requirements in a dynamic and public-facing environment is critical.

Job description

The position is responsible for ensuring full compliance with Abu Dhabi regulatory requirements including OSHAD SF Framework and the Abu Dhabi Ports Integrated Health Safety and Environment Management System ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 while maintaining a safe, secure and operationally efficient environment in a high‑visibility and reputationally sensitive setting.

Educational and Technical Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Higher Diploma or Diploma in Engineering/ Science/HSE
• NEBOSH Diploma or IGC (mandatory)
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent HSE achievement certificate
• AD EHS Practitioner Certificate
• Preferably to have valid Lead Auditor Certificate in OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001
• Preferably to have valid certificate of COSHH, Advance First Aid, HSE Risk Management, Control of Major Accident Hazards
• Strong knowledge of Integrated Management Systems, risk assessment methodologies, and emergency management frameworks
• Computer knowledge; Microsoft Office
• Language Skills: Excellent in Arabic & English (Speak, Read, and write)

Years of Experience

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in HSE management roles, preferably within cruise terminals, public infrastructure, marine operations, or HSE role/field.
