Job summary

EY is seeking an Audit Manager in Dubai to lead complex audit engagements and strengthen client relationships. You will define audit strategy in collaboration with Directors/Partners and ensure high-quality work in line with EY policies.

You will mentor junior staff, manage staffing and fees, and participate in business development. Strong external audit experience and an ACCA/CPA qualification are essential, with Big 4 exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Seven years of professional external audit experience.
• Degree with accounting qualification such as ACCA or CPA.
• Preferably experience with a Big 4 accounting firm.

The opportunity

EY MENA is looking for Managers to join its Audit team at Dubai office to lead on complex audit engagements and support business this role you will build and strengthen internal and external relationships while ensuring high-quality work is delivered to clients. You will identify and escape risks foster a positive learning culture and mentor junior team members to support their development.

Your key responsibilities

As a manager youll manage the delivery of audit engagements by defining the audit strategy in consultation with the Directors / Partner and executing it in compliance with Ernst & Youngs policies and protocols. When required youll personally execute complex audit procedures and lead teams or parts of teams on engagements depending on the size of the engagement. Youll also assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders as well as participate in business development initiatives.

Youll actively establish maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships and confirm that work delivered to clients is of a high quality. As part of this youll anticipate and identify risks and elevate issues as appropriate. As an influential member of the team youll help to create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop through effectively supervising coaching and mentoring. You will also contribute to people initiatives including recruiting retaining and training Assurance professionals and contribute to the maintenance of an educational program to continually develop personal skills of staff.
