Job summary

Agthia Group PJSC is building a brand-new Group Data & AI function and seeks a leader to govern data and master data from the ground up. You will chair the Data Governance Council, define the single truth, and align cross-functional teams around standards that stick in the platform.

This role blends leadership with hands-on technical depth, resolving data disputes, embedding governance into the data stack, and partnering with product and ERP data owners across the UAE.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in data governance, master data management or data quality
• Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (SAP MDG, Informatica, Profisee, Reltio or Stibo)
• Familiarity with governance/quality tooling (Purview, Unity Catalog, Informatica DQ, Ataccama or Collibra)
• Strong, hands-on SQL and comfort working directly with ERP and source-system data structures
• A track record of establishing governance in a low-maturity organisation and driving adoption across business units

Today, the same product, customer or supplier can appear differently across different parts of the business — there's no single governance framework making that data trustworthy. You'll build that framework, chair the Data Governance Council, and give the business one version of the truth it can rely on.

This is as much a leadership and influence role as a technical one. You'll need the credibility to resolve cross-business data disputes and set standards across teams that don't report to you, and the technical depth to make sure those standards actually stick in the platform.
