Job summary

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) L&S is seeking a senior professional to direct all commercial chartering activities under SVP/VP. You will manage day-to-day chartering in/out of vessels and cargoes, oversee tonnage and cargo planning, and develop new business opportunities with ADNOC and external customers.

Responsibilities include stakeholder relationship management, documenting commercial terms, and preparing market-condition reports for senior management.

Qualifications

• University degree in a commercial discipline or equivalent qualification.
• 8 years of commercial experience with professional certifications (ICS, Sea Going).

About the Job:

To direct under the authority of SVP/VP all Commercial chartering activities.

Key Accountabilities

• Direct all day-to-day Commercial activities relating to the chartering in / out of vessels / cargoes underthe authority of SVP/VP, and where necessary providing administrative and technical support to theteam.
• Plan and manage the day-to-day execution of both tonnage and cargo requirements clearlycommunicating and guiding the team and owning the outcomes.
• Responsible for managing internal and external customer relationships to achieve mutually beneficialoutcomes.
• Understanding internal customers forward requirements and needs from ADNOC L&S.
• Develop new business opportunities with ADNOC and third party customers to grow and diversify therevenue streams.
• Approve relevant documentations in order to meet requirements of ADNOC standards andrequirements.
• Provide technical and administrative assistance during negotiation phase to achieve terms andconditions commercially favourable to ADNOC
• Prepare, analyse and present reports (specifically with regards to market conditions) as required in atimely and professional manner.

Supervision

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Identify skill gaps and train and develop the assigned staff to enable them to become proficient in the execution of their respective objectives.

Budgets

• Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation ofthe approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances in costs / revenue to support effective performanceand cost control.

Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures inorder to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company andInternational standards.

Performance Management

• Guide and direct the team towards the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the
• Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operationalprocesses.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in linewith ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainabilityguidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports

Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Minimum Requirements:

• University degree in a commercial discipline or equivalent qualification.
