Job description

Our client is a UAE based bank with a strong presence in the UAE and an exciting blueprint for further growth over coming years. Working with CFO and Head of Finance, the role will play an integral part in providing insight into performance and communicating its results to the Board and Executive Management team. Primary focus will be on providing insight into business unit performance (both on a segmental / product basis), tracking performance against KPIs (internal / external), developing mechanisms and tools to measure customer profitability. Measure market penetration and provide customer analytics to BU’s on a regular and ad hoc basis. The job holder will be expected to further develop the finance unit’s business intelligence capabilities with a specific emphasis on providing market / competitive information. In addition, this role will be responsible for effectively managing the CAPEX budgets for the bank, tracking spend and understanding variances to plan. To complete these responsibilities the jobholder will have 1 direct report.

Applicants must have the following:

• MUST have worked in a bank in the UAE (MANDATORY)
• MUST speak fluent English
• Must have 7+ years experience
• Will hold an accounting qualification
• Will have worked within both commercial accounting as well as projects
• This role would ideally suit a Western educated candidate
