Job summary

A full-service communications consultancy in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Manager, Brand to lead brand strategy and performance. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in branding and corporate communications, preferably from the oil and gas sector. This role emphasizes effective collaboration, creativity, and management of brand identity and team development within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years in senior-level roles in corporate communications and branding.

JOB TITLE: Manager, Brand

LOCATION: Abu Dhabi

CONTRACT TYPE: 6-month secondment with the potential to go full-time, permanent

REPORTING TO: Vice President, Brand

Purpose of the Role

The Manager, Brand is accountable for leading and executing the overall Group brand strategy, encompassing brand insights, positioning, messaging and management, and creative ideation and execution, to position, promote and protect the Group's portfolio of brands. The Manager, Brand collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency and alignment across all brand touch points, and measures and reports on brand performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of brand strategies that reflect the core business strategy and objectives of the Group.
  • Leverage research and insights to drive brand performance and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Ideate and build powerful creative ideas that communicate the brand value proposition and differentiate the Group from competitors.
  • Develop and maintain brand identities, guidelines and management tools that ensure coherence and consistency across all brand elements and channels.
  • Manage the brand asset library and associated content, and ensure its accessibility and usability for internal and external users.
  • Provide strategic and creative counsel for Group brands, and support them in developing and executing their brand plans and initiatives.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as marketing, communications, business units, agencies and vendors, to ensure alignment and integration of brand activities and deliverables.
  • Measure and report on brand performance, using relevant metrics and indicators, and provide recommendations for improvement and optimisation.
  • Build and manage a team of in-house designers that reduce dependency on external agencies, without compromising on quality.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in branding and design, and incorporate them into the Group brand strategy and execution.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design or equivalent.
  • A Master’s degree would be encouraged but not required.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in progressive and senior-level roles in corporate communications and within branding roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry or a large corporation.
  • Proficient in design software and applications, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about branding and design, and committed to excellence and quality.
  • Passionate about people development and inspiring the team to deliver brilliance while transferring knowledge.
