Job summary

Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking a Planning Engineer for our leading VIP client in Dubai, UAE. This is a permanent role with a tax-free salary and benefits including healthcare, visa, return flights, and 42 days of leave per year.

The role covers maintenance planning, technical services, and AMP control across multiple aircraft types, with emphasis on continued airworthiness, reliability monitoring, and documentation in accordance with CAR M and CAMO requirements.

Qualifications

  • Five years’ experience in continuing airworthiness.
  • In depth knowledge of GCAA CAR M, and S-1.CAMO.
  • Qualifications as per the GCAA CAR M, and S-1.CAMO.
  • Formalised courses for B737/B747/B777 type knowledge (Level 3).
  • English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance planning for single or multiple aircraft types.
  • Compile line and base maintenance work packs; liaise with AMO.
  • Ensure compliance with Aircraft Maintenance Program and revisions.
  • Certify accuracy of maintenance status reports and due lists.
  • Coordinate AMP control, RVSM requirements, and MAINT data updates.
  • On-site liaison for major maintenance inputs; deputise for Planning Manager.

Maintenance Planner
Dubai

Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking a Planning Engineer for our leading VVIP client in Dubai, UAE.

This will be a permanent role with attractive tax free salary and benefits such as healthcare, Visa, return flights and 42 days leave per year!

Duties and responsibilities
Maintenance Planning functions, on single, or multiple aircraft types:
  • Review of the ATL.
  • Compilation of line maintenance work packs content prior to use and liaising with the AMO.
  • Compilation of base maintenance work packs content prior to use and liaising with the AMO.
  • Compliance with the Aircraft Maintenance Programme.
  • Amendments or alterations to work packs as a result of:
  • Changes to the planned work content.
  • Approved revisions to maintenance programmes.
  • Internal administration processes.
  • The interpretation of maintenance requirements into maintenance tasks without deviation.
  • Determining the maintenance check flight requirements.
  • Review of work pack content on completion.).
  • Certification of accuracy of produced aircraft maintenance status reports, and maintenance due lists.
  • Compilation and certification of the aircraft reports for the initial CoR, CoA, and ARC.
  • Certification of statements made in aircraft, engine and APU logbooks and other aircraft records to record maintenance program compliance, defect rectification, component changes, Airworthiness Directive compliance, and other mandatory and non-mandatory modifications and inspections carried out - update of the M&E tracking system.
  • Control and processing of variations to scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • On-site liaison for major maintenance inputs at third-party facilities (as required).
  • Deputising for the Planning Manager (as required).
Technical Services functions:
  • Assessments of technical publications (ADs, SBs, SILs, AD bi-weekly, etc.)
  • Assessments of modifications, and participation in the Ops/Eng Modifications Review Board.
  • Aircraft configuration control in the M&E tracking system.
  • Repairs control.
  • Liaising with OEM, STC, and TC Holders.
  • Review of aircraft documentation and previous Operators records, in cases of new aircraft induction.
  • Review of delivery documentation in conjunction with the past in-service records, and preparation of the data for migration to our M&E system.
  • Review and Control of individual aircraft Maintenance Planning Files and inclusion of Maintenance Planning File items in appropriate scheduled maintenance inputs.
Aircraft Maintenance Programme control related functions:
  • AMP authoring for new types.
  • Periodic AMP review for effectiveness, taking into consideration the in-service experience and conclusions from the Reliability monitoring.
  • Technical Assessment of the AMP source documentation, and impact on the AMP revision cycle.
  • AMP revision drafting for submittal for approval (including new additions to the fleet, as well as the changes to regulations and source documents).
  • Incorporation of approved revisions to maintenance programs into the M&E tracking system.
  • Control of the Pre/transit/post-flight Inspections procedure and forms.
  • Incorporation of the RVSM requirements.
Aircraft Reliability Monitoring functions:
  • Data collection.
  • Data processing.
  • Monthly Reliability Reporting.
  • Reliability analysis, and impact on the AMP.
  • Participation in the Reliability Review Board.
Other relevant tasks as assigned by the Planning Manager.
The minimum required work experience, skills, qualifications & certifications, necessary personal traits and attributes
  • Five years’ experience in continuing airworthiness;
  • In depth knowledge of GCAA CAR M, and S-1.CAMO;
  • Qualifications as per the GCAA CAR M, and S-1.CAMO;
  • Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent) and/or Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence;
  • Knowledge of the relevant type(s) of aircraft in the fleet, through formalised courses that should be at least at a level equivalent to CAR-66 Appendix III Level I General Familiarisation. A theoretical type training (Level 3) for at least one aircraft type in the fleet (B737, B747, B777) is required;
  • In depth understanding of Low Utilization Aircraft Maintenance Programmes;
  • Technical publication assessment and recommendation based on engineering judgement;
  • Working with M&E systems;
  • English language proficiency;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Problem solving, critical, and analytical thinking;
  • Data analysis, and attention to details;
  • Teamwork and dedication.
The preferred work experience, skills, qualifications & certifications, personal traits and attributes
  • Ten years’ experience in continuing airworthiness (ARC signatory, Technical Services, or Reliability Engineer);
  • Experience in VIP environment;
  • Reliability monitoring certification, and working experience;
  • B737, B747, and B777 type certification, and experience;
  • In depth knowledge of EASA Part-M and Part-CAMO;
  • Experience with using AMOS or Rusada Envision M&E systems;
  • Knowledge of electronic workflow systems;
  • Technical writing;
  • Project management;
  • Ability to work alone;
  • Ability to work under time pressure.
