Job Description
General Operations Responsibilities
  • Health & Safety: Consistently work safely for yourself, co-workers, and manufacturing systems. Perform housekeeping and waste removal tasks within the department and assist other areas as needed.
  • ELS: Review current processes regularly to find improvements that enhance product and process quality, reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work. Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Teamwork: Support team members in achieving department and site goals. Participate in all tasks needed to operate the facility, contribute to team decision-making, and support project work and special requests.
Set-Up, Troubleshooting, and Preventative Maintenance

Support manufacturing to produce high-quality materials meeting client needs. Ensure manufacturing and facilities are in top working order.

  • Diagnose mechanical equipment issues, locate and replace defective parts, and perform troubleshooting using standard tools and documentation.
  • Ensure correct positioning of production machines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspect, and maintain shop equipment per OSHA regulations.
  • Install and prepare new machines and equipment for operation.
  • Follow a strict preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime.
  • Repair and maintain machinery, including pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Disassemble machines, replace broken parts, and adjust functional parts as necessary.
  • Clean and lubricate parts, inspect repairs, and record maintenance activities.
Record Keeping, Inventory & Housekeeping
  • Order replacement parts, requisition new parts and equipment.
  • Prepare reports, maintain logs on maintenance and repair activities, and track shift metrics such as downtime and part availability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Identify, label, and stage parts for equipment maintenance.
Electrical & Electromechanical Focus

Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, including motors, switches, panels, relays, and communication systems. Use testing instruments and schematics to diagnose issues and implement fixes. Assist engineers with troubleshooting and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Facilities

Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, including plumbing, masonry, painting, and HVAC systems. Oversee contracted personnel and perform groundskeeping tasks as needed.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Certifications in specialized areas as applicable; licensing as an electrician is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, mathematical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a safe, timely, and productive manner.
  • Knowledge of relay logic, DC drives, PLC systems, and ability to work from schematics and diagrams.
