We’re Hiring: Magazine Production Editor | Publication Researcher

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage magazine production schedules from initial planning to final publication.
• Edit, proofread, and refine articles, features, interviews, and editorial content.
• Conduct research on industry developments, current topics, market trends, and relevant subject areas.
• Verify facts, figures, references, quotations, and information used in published materials.
• Coordinate with writers, journalists, photographers, designers, and external contributors.
• Develop editorial calendars and organize content according to publication priorities.
• Review manuscripts and research materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and relevance.
• Prepare editorial briefs, research summaries, interview questions, and publication outlines.
• Monitor production deadlines and ensure content moves efficiently through each editorial stage.
• Work with design and layout teams to review page proofs, headlines, captions, and final layouts.
• Maintain editorial guidelines, publication records, research databases, and content archives.
• Identify suitable story ideas, contributors, and research opportunities to strengthen future publications.

Requirements

• Proven experience in magazine publishing, journalism, editorial production, research, or content development.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and information-organizing skills.
• Strong research abilities, including fact-checking, source evaluation, and information verification.
• Good understanding of editorial workflows, publication standards, and content production processes.
• Ability to develop engaging editorial ideas and identify relevant research topics.
• Familiarity with publishing tools, content management systems, and digital editing platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills when working with writers and creative teams.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Publishing, Communications, English, Media Studies, Research, or a related field is preferred.
