About the Company

Our client is a newly established organisation specialising in the precision bending of steel, aluminium, and other materials. As they continue to expand, they are seeking skilled professionals with proven expertise in metal bending processes to join their growing team.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Bending Specialist / Machine Operator with a strong background in steel and aluminium bending. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating bending machinery, producing high-quality components to exact specifications within a fast-paced workshop environment.

Please note: Candidates must have proven experience in steel and aluminium bending to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a production team under the guidance of an Operations Manager and Team Leader.
• Operate bending machinery and associated tools to fabricate metal components according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Set up and calibrate machines for optimal performance.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet required standards and tolerances.
• Diagnose and resolve machine issues, performing routine maintenance and basic repairs where required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to streamline production processes and meet project deadlines.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Skills & Experience

• Proven, hands-on experience in metal bending operations, ideally including large steel beam bending.
• Strong understanding of different bending machines and forming techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, including 3D profiles.
• Commitment to quality, precision, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Desirable

A relevant technical or vocational qualification in metal fabrication or mechanical engineering is advantageous but not essential.
