Job summary

Carter & White is seeking a Textile Print Designer to develop original prints for Womenswear and Girlswear, translating creative direction into moodboards and production-ready artwork.

You will create all-over repeats, placement prints and colorways, coordinating with design, pattern-making and production teams. A strong portfolio and 5–7 years’ experience in fashion print design are required.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Textile Design, Print Design, Fashion Design or related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience developing textile prints for fashion.
• Strong portfolio with all-over repeats, borders and placement prints.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is essential.
• Ability to interpret the Creative Director’s vision into moodboards and cohesive print designs.

Responsibilities

• Understand the Creative Director’s vision and develop moodboards with motifs and colour palettes.
• Research print trends and colour directions for seasonal themes.
• Create original artwork including florals, botanicals and abstract designs.
• Develop all-over repeats, borders and placement prints for Womenswear and Girlswear.
• Prepare production-ready artwork with accurate repeats, dimensions and colour references.
• Supply editable source files with organised layers and linked assets.
• Collaborate with design, pattern-making, production and supplier teams to ensure accurate interpretation during sampling and production.
• Revise and finalise artwork within collection and production deadlines.
• Maintain an organised archive of artwork, colourways, mock-ups and production files.
