AHS, a foremost luxury real estate developer, is in search of a Senior Mechanical Engineer/Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems for our high-end residential projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency, sustainability, and overall quality of the mechanical designs that contribute to the luxurious living experiences we provide.
Responsibilities
- Functional Accountabilities:
- Review Mechanical design documents, including drawings, calculations, specifications, and BOQs, taking into consideration best international codes/standards, local authorities/service providers regulations, ease of maintenance, QA/QC guidelines, cost, and sales agreements obligations.
- Provide technical support to respond to pre-qualification documents, mechanical material submittals, RFI, RFPs, TEOs, invoices, and agreements with service providers.
- Coordinate and liaise with other team members, including mechanical engineers, architects, structural engineers, infrastructure engineers, landscaping engineers, project management team, commercial team, and FM team.
- Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Always demonstrate compliance with the organization’s values and ethics to support the establishment of a value-driven culture within the organization.
- Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices, considering global standards, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.
- Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer/Designer in the luxury residential sector (7+ years)
- Expertise in mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and engineering analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems as well as applicable codes and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong project management skills with a solid track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence in design
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
