Job summary

Fairmont Ajman is seeking a Laundry Attendant to maintain pristine linens, uniforms, and guest laundry for a luxury hotel experience. You will manage linen inventories, supervise tagging and deliveries, and work closely with the outsourced laundry partner to ensure quality and timely service.

The role requires solid attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to work shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel laundry or housekeeping environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of linen, uniform, and guest laundry handling procedures.
• Good understanding of laundry hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
• Ability to identify stains, damages, and discrepancies in linen and uniforms.
• Good organizational and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong commitment to maintaining luxury hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect, count, and dispatch soiled linen, towels, and uniforms to the outsourced laundry service.
• Receive, inspect, and record clean linen deliveries, ensuring quantity and quality meet hotel standards.
• Distribute clean linen and uniforms to respective departments while maintaining appropriate stock levels.
• Manage the uniform room, including issuing and receiving uniforms, proper labeling, and accurate records.
• Handle guest laundry and dry-cleaning services, ensuring accurate tagging, tracking, and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of linen movements, guest laundry transactions, and uniform inventory.
• Inspect linen, uniforms, and guest laundry for stains, damage, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Maintain the linen and uniform rooms in a clean, organized, and well-presented condition.
• Coordinate with the outsourced laundry provider to address discrepancies, quality concerns, and service requirements.
• Support the Housekeeping team during peak periods and as operational requirements dictate.
• Adhere to all hotel standards, safety, hygiene, and departmental policies and procedures.
