Job summary

Rixos Hotels is seeking a Telephone Operator to manage all internal and external calls, ensuring a professional and courteous guest experience at the Ras Al Khaimah property. You will handle wake-up calls, guest inquiries, messages, and coordinate with relevant departments using Opera PMS and CID systems to ensure timely responses and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Telecommunication, Telephone Operator, Front Office, or Guest Services in hotel/hospitality preferred.
• Good command of written and spoken English; Russian speaker preferred.
• Strong telephone etiquette, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Opera PMS and hotel communication systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle all incoming internal and external calls professionally and efficiently.
• Greet guests by name and connect calls to the appropriate extension or guest room.
• Verify guest details for room-related calls and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel facilities, outlets, services, and local area.
• Utilize Opera PMS and CID systems accurately and update guest information timely.
• Coordinate with hotel departments to ensure requests are communicated and followed up.
• Monitor the message box and respond to guest requests within the required timeframe.
• Handle wake-up calls accurately and punctually.
• Stay informed about VIP, in-house, arriving, and special-needs guests.
• Respond to urgent matters and emergencies coordinating with Management and Security.
• Take and relay messages accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
• Attend briefings and participate in training and development.
