Job summary

Banyan Tree Dubai is seeking a Hands-on Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in leading daily culinary operations and developing the team. You will ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service across all outlets in a luxury resort setting.

You will mentor junior chefs, uphold HACCP and hygiene standards, and contribute to menu development and sustainable kitchen practices within a world-class hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef in a luxury hotel, resort or fine dining setting.
• Strong leadership of kitchen teams and departments.
• Solid understanding of HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and guide the culinary team.
• Lead kitchen sections during prep and service to ensure quality.
• Maintain mise-en-place, portion control and presentation standards.
• Participate in menu development and seasonal offerings.
