Job summary

Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is seeking a Painter & Polisher to maintain interior and exterior finishes across the property. You will prepare surfaces, mix colours, apply paints and polish wooden furniture to high Forbes Five-Star standards.

Responsibilities include minor repairs, defect reporting to Engineering, and supporting maintenance projects while ensuring safety and presentation across guest areas.

Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in a similar Multi-Skilled Technician or Engineering role in a luxury hotel.
• Experience in property management or building maintenance.
• Positive attitude and proactive approach to work.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong commitment to delivering high levels of service.
• Excellent grooming and professional standards.
• Flexible and adaptable to different work situations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out painting, touch-up, varnishing and polishing across the hotel.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling and repairing minor imperfections.
• Mix and match paints and finishes to match approved colour schemes.
• Apply paints, varnishes, stains and finishes using brushes, rollers or spray guns.
• Polish and refinish wooden furniture, doors, frames and fixtures.
• Carry out minor repairs to painted surfaces and report defects.
• Inspect areas and report painting/finishing requirements to Engineering Supervisor.
• Support preventive maintenance across guest rooms and public areas.
• Coordinate with Engineering to minimise disruption to operations.
• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
