Job summary

UCC Holding in Abu Dhabi seeks a Logistics Supervisor to oversee transportation, distribution, and storage operations. You will manage a team of drivers, warehouse staff, and admin personnel to optimize productivity and costs while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and ERP/SAP proficiency, with a focus on coordinating warehouses, carriers, and customers to ensure timely deliveries and accurate records. This is an on-site position in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of logistics principles, including transportation, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills to oversee logistics personnel and coordinate day-to-day operations.
• Excellent organizational abilities to plan and schedule logistics activities, optimize routes, and ensure timely delivery.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and analyze performance metrics.
• Problem-solving skills to address logistical challenges and implement improvements for efficiency.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, to support operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective and timely implementation of all Logistics daily operational goals.
• Assist in developing logistics programme along with support plans, budget requirements and organization timelines for new operations.
• Maintain and manage relations with warehouses, carriers, customs broker, and customers.
• Negotiate and support logistics costs for 3rd party providers within yearly budget goals.
• Ensure shipments are packed, sent and delivered in a timely manner.
• Develop logistics programme with support plans, budgets, and timelines for new operations.
• Assist in evaluating potential logistic suppliers and booking systems.
• Coordinate and present logistics support to ongoing operations.
• Assist in developing and executing tools and methodologies for logistics plans.
