AtkinsRéalis in Abu Dhabi seeks a Construction Site Logistics Engineer to support planning, coordination and oversight of all logistics on a major construction project. You will manage delivery, storage, distribution, site access, traffic flow and regulatory compliance to keep the program on track.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years as a sitewide logistics expert with experience in Abu Dhabi hospitality/mixed-use/residential projects, fluent English, and relevant safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management or Real Estate Development required.
• Chartership preferred; recognised safety programmes current.

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverview

The Construction Site Logistics Enngineer is responsible for supporting planning coordinating and overseeing all logistical aspects of a construction project to ensure smooth site operations. This role involves supporting the delivery storage and distribution of materials and equipment organizing site access and traffic flow and ensuring compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.

Your role

Performance

• Effective delivery of site-wide logistics through the procurement of a site-wide Logistics management contractor.

• Monitor that the scope of services is delivered satisfactorily through setting and monitoring of measurable goals and objectives around the following broad key enablers.

• Orderly safe and efficiently movement of labour plant and materials around site.

• Creation of a secure well maintained site with regular logistics meetings.

• Efficient and orderly management of any workers accommodation.

• Development of processes procedures and induction programmes.

• Supply chain management movement plans and lookahead forecasting.

• Ensuring logistics activities are not a constraining factor on the program.

• Creating of site-specific safety manual with appropriate first aid cover and equipment present.

• Develop maintain and update the Site Emergency Plan.

• Ensuring information is communicated effectively around the site.

• Planning for effective signage in line with corporate branding.

• Efficient management of any special public access roads access to show houses/sales pavilions etc.

• Provision of an effective security management system that ensures all the above is achievable.

Permitting

• The Logistics Contractors acquisition of all necessary permits for smooth logistics operations.

Cost

• Review completeness of established budgets and review cost plans. Ensure that work is re-measured and work is signed off in accordance with the contract.

Risk

• Review detailed risk register developed by logistics contractor and team coordinated with all site stakeholders complete with implement mitigation plan.

Interface

• Provide coordination across all programme consultants and stakeholders related to logistics works.

• Provide support to plots in terms of external access and influences that impact plot activities.

Communication

• Through regular meetings highlight issues concerns and roll out weekly directions to stakeholders team managers. Seek resolution to any issues with the respective plot infrastructure or logistics teams or escalated with the proposed mitigation plan.

Reporting

• Weekly issues through detailed logistics dashboards.

Assurance

• Submission of checklists of all logistics contractor self-audits (QA Safety Environmental Welfare etc.) review and report on status.

About you

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management or Real Estate Development

• Chartership preferred.

• CSCS SMSTS/SSSTS Recognised safety programme (qualified and up to date) First Aid Lifting Supervisor Certification Traffic management Institutional membership.

Experience

• More than 15 years as a Sitewide Logistics expert in management of complex matrixed team environments across multiple cultures.

• Prior Abu Dhabi projects experience is mandatory (Hospitality Mixed use Residential projects).

• Fluent in English (read write and speak).
