Job summary

Lylux Group is seeking a Lighting Controls & Home Automation Engineer to design, program, commission and support intelligent lighting control and home automation systems across residential, hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver reliable, user-friendly, and high-quality smart building solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, or related discipline.
• Experience with lighting control and smart home systems (e.g. KNX, DALI, Casambi, Lutron, Crestron, Control4, BACnet).
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, networking, and low-voltage installations.
• Experience in programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop lighting control and home automation system solutions.
• Prepare system architecture, wiring diagrams, and technical submittals.
• Program and commission lighting control systems and smart home platforms.
• Configure user interfaces, touch panels, mobile applications, and control devices.
• Conduct on-site testing, troubleshooting, and system optimisation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, MEP contractors, and project teams throughout project delivery.
• Provide technical support, training, and handover documentation to clients.
• Assist the sales team with technical proposals, product selection, and solution presentations.
• Ensure all installations comply with project specifications, industry standards, and manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, commissioning reports, and as-built records.

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, networking, and low-voltage installations.
• Experience in programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting control systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage.
