Job summary

Target Engineering Construction Co LLC is seeking a Lifting Supervisor to lead on-site lifting and rigging activities in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on safe, timely lifting operations, reviewing plans and risk assessments, and selecting appropriate cranes and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in lifting engineering or rigging (LOLER, OPITO, LEIA).
• Crane operator or lifting supervisor certification preferred.
• Experience with critical/heavy lifts using various cranes.
• Knowledge of local/international lifting regulations and load calculations.

• Select suitable cranes, lifting equipment, and accessories based on load characteristics and site conditions.
• Conduct load calculations and support critical and heavy lifting activities.

• Deliver toolbox talks and promote safe lifting practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in planning and supervising lifting operations in the oil and gas or construction industry.
• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields. Certification in Lifting Engineering or Rigging (e.g., LOLER, OPITO, LEIA). Crane Operator or Lifting Supervisor certification (preferred).
• Proven expertise in critical and heavy lifts using various types of cranes and lifting equipment. Familiarity with local and international lifting regulations and standards, load calculation, rigging techniques, lifting equipment specifications, crane operations, and lifting accessories.
• Ability to prepare detailed lifting plans and method statements with comprehensive understanding of HSE protocols in lifting operations.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple lifting operations in a dynamic project environment.
