Job summary

A helicopter service provider based in Papua New Guinea is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) with at least 7 years of certifying experience on specific aircraft models. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with maintenance standards, maintaining accurate records, and managing time-sensitive tasks. A strong knowledge of CASA regulations and experience in the Oil and Gas sector is preferred. This position will be based in Madang, Papua New Guinea.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years certifying experience on H145, H125, Bell 407 or BK117.
  • Knowledge of IOGP 690 preferred.
  • Ability to work unsupervised as a remote base engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance and defect rectification complies with standards.
  • Maintain records as per authority requirements.
  • Ensure data availability and accuracy.

Overview

Our client is a Papua New Guinea based Helicopter Company with operations throughout PNG. The company specialises in oil and gas support, mining industry, precision construction, seismic and general charter operations. We are seeking a Full-Time type rated Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to join our organisation located in Madang, Papua New Guinea.

Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for ensuring that all maintenance including any defect rectification carried out during base maintenance, on the line or at outstations is carried out according to the standards specified in the organisation’s exposition.
  • All work on aircraft components is carried out to the standards specified in the organisation’s exposition.
  • All the standards and procedures specified in the organisation’s exposition in relation to the organisation’s component and materials stores are complied with.
  • All required data is available and accessible to all staff who require access to it, to carry out their tasks.
  • All data is at the latest revision status.
  • All required maintenance records are kept in a manner acceptable to the authority, and that the records are retained for the required time.
  • Any corrective action relating to the provision of maintenance resulting from internal quality assurance activity is speedily and fully carried out.
Qualifications
  • Sound knowledge of CASA Regulations.
  • Country of origin LAME licensed with minimum 7 years certifying experience on either H145, H125, Bell 407 or BK117 (CASA PNG license an advantage).
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas sector and knowledge of IOGP 690.
  • Good organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage time-sensitive responsibilities.
  • Previous experience as a remote base engineer (ability to work unsupervised).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using aircraft maintenance computer tracking systems.
  • Ability to work within a multi-cultural team.
