Responsibilities

Assist patrons with locating materials and provide guidance on library resources.
Check out and return books, magazines, and other materials.
Process new materials for circulation, including cataloging and shelving.
Maintain the organization of the library by shelving books in proper order.
Answer reference questions and provide research assistance to patrons.
Keep accurate records of library transactions using a computerized system.
Plan and conduct library programs such as book clubs or storytime for children.
Create displays to promote new materials or themes within the library.
