Librarian vacancy in Abu-Dhabi UAE for foreigners
Position: Librarian
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Salary: 900 AED/month

We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Librarian to join our staff in Abu Dhabi. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing support and assistance to library patrons, organizing and managing library materials, and maintaining the library’s collection.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons in locating material and resources, both in print and electronic format.


• Manage book loans, renewals, returns, and other related tasks.


• Maintain library collections by ensuring all items are properly catalogued and shelved.


• Keep track of overdue items and interact with patrons to remind them of due dates or fines.


• Assist with reference services by conducting bibliographic searches for patrons.


• Stay current on new acquisitions in order to provide information about titles to patrons.


• Create reports such as circulation statistics or budget reports as needed.


• Handle interlibrary loans as needed for library patrons.

Qualifications

No prior experience is necessary; however we desire applicants who have a background in library science or a related field such as information technology or archives management. We also seek applicants who have strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a passion for helping others find the information they need.
