Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science preferred but not required.
• Experience in a library setting preferred but not required.
• Must be organized with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the library's collection of books, journals, magazines, audio-visual materials and digital media.
• Monitor circulation of materials and ensure timely returns.
• Provide reference services and assist patrons in locating information.
• Catalog new acquisitions according to established standards.
• Develop library policies, procedures and best practices as needed.
• Create databases to track patron requests and usage of materials.
• Maintain a neat, orderly environment for patrons.
