Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
Fluency in English required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
Experience working as a librarian or in a similar role preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Customer service oriented with ability to assist patrons from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain organized systems for cataloging, shelving, and circulating library materials.
Assist library patrons with locating materials and conducting research.
Promote the use of the library through educational programs and events.
Monitor the condition of library materials and make recommendations for replacements or repairs.
Maintain accurate records of library transactions and ensure proper collection of fines or fees.
Stay up-to-date on current trends in literature and information management.
Train staff members on library procedures and policies.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the integration of library resources into curriculum or research projects.
