Job summary

JobCenter in El-Ain is seeking a highly organized Librarian (English speaking) to manage daily library operations, catalog new materials, assist patrons with research, and oversee circulation.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Library Science, with strong knowledge of library systems, excellent English, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Accommodation is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cataloging new materials into the library system.
• Maintaining the organization of the library's collection.
• Assisting patrons with research inquiries and recommending resources.
• Overseeing circulation activities, including check in/out and holds.
• Tracking overdue materials and enforcing fines when necessary.
• Creating displays to promote new books or genres.
• Conducting regular inventory checks for accuracy.
• Assisting with budgeting for new acquisitions.
• Managing interlibrary loan requests from other libraries.
• Providing support to patrons using library technology.
