Job summary

Fasset is seeking an in-house lawyer to support the Legal team across day-to-day contracting, product initiatives, and regulatory matters within a fast-moving, regulated banking and investment platform.

You will review contracts, advise on crypto-related regulatory issues, and help maintain documentation across Compliance, Product, Operations, and Finance, contributing to risk management and corporate housekeeping.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years post-qualification or equivalent legal experience.
• Prior in-house experience and/or demonstrable experience in crypto, virtual assets, fintech, or financial services.
• Exposure to crypto exchanges/digital asset platforms or adjacent regulated FS/fintech businesses.

Responsibilities

• Support the Legal team on day-to-day contracting, including drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating NDAs, vendor/service agreements, SaaS/tech agreements, marketing agreements, referral/partnership agreements, and standard commercial templates.
• Assist with product and commercial legal support for exchange/OTC and platform initiatives; review product flows and customer-facing terms for legal risk.
• Maintain and update customer terms and related documentation (general terms & conditions, platform terms, risk disclosures, privacy notices).
• Provide first-pass legal review for cross-functional requests from Compliance, Product, Operations, Finance, and Sales.
• Support regulatory and compliance-led initiatives by coordinating responses, preparing supporting material, and tracking deliverables.
• Perform legal research on crypto/fintech regulatory developments, cross-border issues, sanctions/AML-adjacent queries in coordination with Compliance.
• Manage contract lifecycle hygiene: maintain trackers, approvals, renewal dates, and document repositories.
• Support disputes and risk management tasks and assist external counsel where needed.
• Support corporate housekeeping: entity documentation and board/shareholder paperwork coordination.

About the role

Support the Legal team across day-to-day commercial contracting, product and platform initiatives, regulatory and compliance-led matters, and broader legal risk management. This role will provide practical legal support across a fast-moving, regulated banking and investment platform, working closely with Compliance, Product, Operations, Finance, and Sales.

What you'll do

• Support the Legal team on day-to-day contracting, including drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating:
  • NDAs, vendor/service agreements, SaaS/tech agreements, marketing agreements, referral/partnership agreements, and standard commercial templates
• Assist with product and commercial legal support for exchange/OTC and platform initiatives:
  • Review product flows, new feature launches, and customer-facing terms/disclosures for legal risk and consistency
• Help maintain and update customer terms and related documentation (as applicable):
  • General terms & conditions, platform terms, OTC agreements, risk disclosures, privacy/cookie notices
• Provide first-pass legal review for cross-functional requests from Compliance, Product, Operations, Finance, and Sales
• Support regulatory and compliance-led initiatives by:
  • Coordinating responses, preparing supporting material, tracking deliverables, and maintaining evidence/records
• Perform legal research and prepare short, practical internal notes on:
  • Crypto/fintech regulatory developments, cross-border issues, sanctions/AML-adjacent legal queries (in coordination with Compliance)
• Manage contract lifecycle hygiene:
  • Maintain trackers, assist with approvals, monitor renewal dates, and help keep document repositories organised
• Support disputes and risk management tasks:
  • Compile facts, review correspondence, elevate issues, and support external counsel where needed
• Support corporate housekeeping (light-touch, as required):
  • Entity documentation support, board/shareholder paperwork coordination, signature processes

What you'll bring

Must have

• Experience level: 1–4 years post-qualification (or equivalent relevant legal experience)
• Core background:
  • Prior in-house legal experience and/or
  • Demonstrable experience in crypto, virtual assets, fintech, or financial services
• Industry fit (ideal):
  • Exposure to crypto exchanges / digital asset platforms or adjacent regulated FS/fintech businesses

Nice to have

• Experience working in a regulated financial services, fintech, crypto, virtual assets, payments, or banking environment.
• Exposure to crypto exchanges, digital asset platforms, OTC businesses, or other virtual asset service providers.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions such as UAE, EU, Türkiye, Pakistan, Malaysia, or Indonesia.
