The University of Sharjah invites applications for an Academic Applications Analyst to support instructional technologies and the Blackboard LMS. This on-site role focuses on planning, deploying, and maintaining learning technologies to meet academic objectives and ensure robust data operations.

You will work with the Digital Technologies Department, deliver workshops, assist policy development, and coordinate with system administrators for reliable backups and ongoing support.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.
• 2–4 years UAE experience in higher education or similar setting.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL with data analysis focus.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner ERP and reporting tools.
• Excellent English and Arabic communication abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and manage instructional technologies and LMS (Blackboard).
• Administer and maintain LMS and related instructional tools.
• Advise on adopting and implementing instructional technologies.
• Develop workshops, manuals and guidelines on learning tech.
• Develop policies and ensure implementation and enforcement.
• Coordinate operations, services and support within the unit.
• Ensure regular backups with system/database administrators.
• Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, document system problems.
• Integrate LMS with other systems via building blocks.
• Prepare reports and statistics as requested by the line manager.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned within time limits.
