Job Title: Learning Hub Administrator (Secondary Librarian / Learning Hub Lead)

Core Purpose
- Promote a love of reading and learning across the secondary phase, ensuring the Learning Hub is a welcoming, engaging, and well‑organised space.
- Support teaching and learning across the curriculum through effective resource management and library services.
- Contribute to the daily life of the school by supporting administrative and academic functions.
- Ensure the Learning Hub is safe, inclusive, and aligned with the school’s values.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist visitors, staff, and pupils in a friendly, professional manner.
- Manage the Learning Hub, including book issuance, stock control, cataloguing, and digital resource management.
- Actively engage with children to encourage reading for pleasure and academic success.
- Support the Accelerated Reader programme and track pupil progress.
- Plan and deliver workshops on academic integrity and research skills.
- Actively support teachers and pupils during scheduled library sessions.
- Support with English language interventions as directed by teaching staff.
- Organise and promote library and literacy events such as author visits, book fairs, and literature festivals.
- Lead library‑based ECAs, such as a homework club or reading club.
- Provide lesson cover when needed.
- Be an active member of the school’s compliance committee, contributing to discussions and actions that ensure high standards of welfare, safety, and operational compliance.
- Carry out additional administrative and support duties to ensure the smooth running of the school.
