Job summary

Jobless seeks a Learning Experience Director to lead discovery, design, and solution development within a large-scale enterprise learning operation in the UAE. The role focuses on learner-centered design, business-aligned objectives, and high standards across learning solutions.

The position is onsite in the UAE, with travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi as needed for stakeholder engagement and discovery activities.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in instructional design, learning design, or learning strategy.
• Strong track record designing learning solutions across multiple modalities.
• Deep understanding of instructional design models and adult learning principles.
• Experience conducting discovery and translating business needs into learning solutions.
• Confidence working with and constructively challenging subject matter experts.
• Experience maintaining consistency and quality across learning solutions in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery efforts to understand learning needs, performance gaps, and business context.
• Conduct needs analysis through stakeholder conversations, observation, and data review.
• Translate business and performance needs into clear learning objectives and design requirements.
• Create design briefs and documentation that provide clear direction to design and development teams.
• Design high-quality learning solutions across modalities (ILT, virtual, digital, on-the-job).
• Apply instructional design best practices and adult learning principles consistently.
• Design learner-centered experiences that support engagement, retention, and application.
• Define assessment approaches that validate learning outcomes and skill development.
• Structure learning pathways that support progressive capability building.
• Ensure learning solutions reflect a consistent enterprise learning identity and design approach.
• Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and design across solutions.
• Challenge design or content decisions that dilute quality or consistency.
• Partner with stakeholders to align on design expectations and standards.
• Collaborate with SMEs to extract relevant knowledge and translate into learner-friendly content.
• Balance SME input with sound instructional design judgment.
• Review learning designs to ensure quality and consistency.
• Provide constructive feedback and contribute to design standards, templates, and best practices.
• Support and mentor other learning designers as needed.
