Overview

Lead Structural Design Engineer will spearhead the structural design of landmark high-rise and mixed-use developments in Dubai. This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer with deep technical expertise, a strategic mindset, and a portfolio of iconic vertical projects across the GCC.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the structural design process, analysis of high-rise towers, podiums, and integrated mixed-use complexes from Pre-Concept to IFC and through Execution in accordance with local, international standards and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and adhere to assigned budgets and schedules, integrate team efforts, review work, set priorities, identify and resolve issues in a timely manner and communicate status to the Technical Director.
  • Conduct structural assessments, load calculations, and finite element analyses to evaluate structural performance, durability, and resilience under various loading conditions.
  • Promote the adoption of advanced design tools, materials, and methodologies to improve outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, ACI, BS, Eurocodes, and other international standards; prepare the structural documents required for authority approval submissions.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in structural designs and project execution.
  • Lead and be responsible for the successful delivery of steel and concrete structures, including production of technical reports, written calculations, design briefs, specifications, drawings, schedules, contract documentation, and related deliverables.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, and experienced with CAD, Revit, Rhino, Navisworks and BIM-based workflows.
  • Deep understanding of construction methodologies and site coordination.
  • Coordinate closely with architects, MEP, and landscape teams to ensure seamless integration of structural systems.
  • Resolve complex design challenges through innovative, cost-effective solutions.
  • Review and approve structural drawings, BIM models, and technical documentation produced by the team; ensure timely delivery of design packages aligned with project milestones and authority approvals.
  • Represent the structural discipline in meetings with consultants and regulatory bodies; lead technical presentations, design reviews, and value engineering workshops.
  • Mentor and manage a team of structural engineers and BIM designers; foster a culture of technical rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
