Job Title

Lead Specialist - Financial Reporting

Job Scope

The Lead Specialist - Financial Reporting is accountable for the unit’s performance while conducting timely and accurate reviews on reporting packages, financial statements and external/internal audit reports. S/He submits findings to the direct manager and effectuates changes accordingly.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Technical and Operations
  • Support the financial team of respective entities in providing documentation and assessments related to complex transactions to external auditors
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Highlight any delay from auditors to the direct manager and assist in clearing misstatements
  • Conduct necessary reviews on external audit reports and financial statements
  • Follow up on the validation and issuance of the audit reports of assigned companies
  • Prepare financial statements for relevant entities
  • Prepare consolidated reporting packages where applicable
  • Review and validate the quarterly reporting pack, identify variances and report to the Lead Specialist(s)
  • Reconcile and agree the reporting packages to the relevant monthly closing files
  • Prepare and presenting reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Follow up on the implementation of the recommendations issued by Midis Internal Audit with the financial team of the respective entities
  • Identify opportunities for improving, automating and adjusting existing workflows and systems and effectuate changes in coordination with the direct manager
  • Put available systems and tools into practice, train the entities’ financial teams and ensure optimal usage by all parties
Position Requirements
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or any other related field. Masters degree is a plus

Experience

At least 7 years of experience in a similar role
