Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Exploration Geologist specializing in sedimentology in Abu Dhabi. You will coordinate sedimentological analyses, core studies and paleo-depositional modeling to support petroleum system evaluations and well proposals.

You will supervise consultants, review previous studies for gaps, and integrate results with petrophysical and geophysical data in a multidisciplinary team. Strong leadership and regional experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology/geoscience or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 10 years in all aspects of exploration geology, sedimentology and maturation of prospects.
• Certifications in core analysis or sedimentology are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise sedimentological analyses and studies within the exploration workflow.
• Monitor consultants to ensure accuracy and quality of reports.
• Lead paleo-depositional model preparation and updates for exploration purposes.
• Design and supervise sedimentological work methods and integrate results with other disciplines.
• Review prior sedimentological studies to identify gaps and necessary follow-up work.
• Coordinate core studies, descriptions and petrographic analyses to support updated interpretations.
• Prepare data files for petroleum system models and target assessment in Abu Dhabi.
• Contribute to prospect volumetrics, risk assessment and final documentation.
• Liaise with software suppliers and stay updated on new technologies.
