Job Summary
Job summary: The Lead, Security Operations, is responsible for managing a team of Patrol Officers and Security Guards to ensure the safety and protection of the company’s physical assets, personnel, and infrastructure, including offices, pumping stations, substations, and power and water networks. The role focuses on operational security, including patrolling, incident response, and enforcing security protocols across various sites. The Lead works closely with the Security Control Room team but oversees a separate team focused on ground security operations.
General Responsibilities
- Policy, Procedures, Process and Systems
- Ensure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost‑effective service in a consistent manner.
- Reporting
- Ensure that all reports are completed timely and comply with the business policies and standards.
- Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision‑making.

- Job Specific Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and support a team of Patrol Officers and Security Guards, ensuring they execute their duties effectively and in compliance with company policies and security procedures.
- Prepare and manage shift schedules for the team, ensuring adequate coverage across all company locations, including offices, pumping stations, substations, and other critical infrastructure sites.
- Provide training, coaching, and on‑the‑job support to enhance the performance and readiness of the security operations team.
- Oversee regular patrols of the company's assets, ensuring all facilities, equipment, and perimeters are secure and free from unauthorized access or potential security threats.
- Ensure that Patrol Officers and Security Guards are vigilant in checking for any irregularities, such as trespassing, theft, vandalism, or damage to company property.
- Coordinate with the Security Control Room team to respond to security incidents, providing ground support and intelligence.
- Act as the first point of contact for Patrol Officers and Security Guards during security incidents, providing leadership and ensuring the team follows appropriate response protocols.
- Ensure proper incident reporting and escalation procedures are followed, collaborating with the Security Control Room for real‑time response coordination.
- Oversee the investigation of security breaches, thefts, or other incidents, and coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services as necessary.
- Ensure that security personnel strictly enforce access control procedures, verifying the identities of employees, contractors, visitors, and vehicles entering secured areas.
- Manage the security guards’ duties at key entry points, ensuring that unauthorized personnel are prevented from accessing restricted areas and that all security breaches are reported immediately.
- Support special security operations for high‑profile events or VIP visits.
- Ensure that all patrols, incidents, and security activities are documented accurately in daily reports.
- Review and approve incident reports submitted by Patrol Officers and Security Guards, ensuring completeness and accuracy before escalation to senior management.
- Maintain records of security patrols, incidents, and access control logs for audits and investigations.
- Ensure that all patrol vehicles, radios, uniforms, and security equipment are well‑maintained and available for use during shifts.
- Conduct regular inspections of security equipment to ensure operational readiness and report any equipment failures or repairs needed.
- Manage the distribution of security gear, including radios, flashlights, and protective equipment, to ensure all personnel are adequately equipped for their duties.
- Collaborate closely with the Security Control Room team to ensure seamless coordination between ground patrols and surveillance monitoring, particularly during incidents or emergencies.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as General Services, Operations, and People & Culture, to support companywide security efforts and address specific security concerns.
- Liaise with external security contractors and local law enforcement to ensure the company is protected against external threats.
- Ensure that all security operations comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular reviews of security procedures and practices, recommending improvements based on emerging security threats and best practices in the industry.
- Ensure the team participates in safety drills and emergency preparedness exercises to maintain readiness for various security scenarios.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent
- 6 years of relevant working experience
Desired Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Management or equivalent; advanced certification in security management, control room operations, or leadership is an advantage.
- 9 years of relevant working experience
