The Key Objectives for this Role Are
- Ensuring optimal design and selection of rotating equipment such as pumps, turbines, compressors, and motors.
- Improving the reliability and performance of rotating equipment to minimize downtime and operational risks.
- Developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance plans for rotating machinery.
- Conducting root cause analyses of equipment failures and suggesting corrective measures.
- Ensuring equipment meets industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Coordinating with cross‑functional teams during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of rotating machinery.
Technical Responsibilities
- Prepare and review technical specifications, datasheets, requisitions and technical bid evaluation for rotating equipment (various types of pumps, compressors, turbines, etc.).
- Support rotating equipment within various packages such as GDU.
- Interface with vendors during package design, manufacturing, FAT, and delivery.
- Provide technical support for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
- Review and validate equipment performance, operating conditions to support site operations.
- Participate in root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for rotating equipment issues.
- Carry out adequacy, troubleshooting, re‑rating, etc. for the rotating equipment.
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for adequacy, re‑rating, upgrades and performance assessments.
- Support equipment condition monitoring programs (vibration, lube oil analysis, thermography).
- Assist in preparing technical specifications and evaluation of rotating equipment packages for projects.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes (API, ISO).
- Carry out MoCs and prepare engineering packages for plant modifications as required.
- Prepare scope of work for consultants for specific jobs, conduct tender evaluation and review consultant’s work.
- Estimate man‑hours for a particular type of job; either modifications or for new equipment engineering package.

Expected
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in rotating equipment engineering in the oil & gas industry.
- Offshore experience in maintenance or engineering support roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards and rotating machinery used in offshore oil production.
- Experience with condition monitoring tools and techniques.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment design, operations, and diagnostics.
- Proficient in analyzing vibration, temperature, and performance trends.
- Good communication and coordination with maintenance, operations, and vendors.
- Capable of producing clear technical reports and recommendations.
