Job summary

EDGE invites applications for a Principal Test Engineer role within the KATIM team. You will translate system requirements into test cases and drive end-to-end lab and field testing of RF and SDR systems, collaborating with architects, waveform designers, and hardware/software teams.

The position requires a strong background in RF test, lab planning, test automation, and hands-on integration of software and hardware; exceptional communication is essential as you advance secure communications

Qualifications

B.Eng or MS in Electronic or Systems Engineering.
Minimum 10 years' experience in test and measurement, with a focus on RF radio systems.
Experience in lab planning/budgeting and SW/HW integration.
Experience with test case automation.
Hands-on experience integrating software and hardware in a lab, including troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Understand system-level requirements and translate them into measurable test cases.
Work closely with system architects, waveform designers, and software/hardware teams to specify appropriate test cases and verification procedures.
Perform end-to-end testing on lab or field setups and generate status and test reports.
Evaluate system performance and compliance/compatibility, troubleshoot operational issues, and characterize the performance of RF and SDR system components.
Identify, describe, and build the hardware/software lab resources needed for tests based on project needs.
