Job summary

GE Vernova Global Services GmbH - DIC Branch in Dubai seeks a Lead Product Service Engineer - Turbine Controls & Operability to provide direct technical support across multiple workstreams for GE Vernova Gas Power customers. You will own the resolution of complex control system issues and drive root-cause analyses with urgency.

The role requires a Bachelor’s/Master’s in engineering, 5+ years in turbine controls/operations, and strong English communication. Arabic skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in engineering from accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in controls/operations/engineering/installation of Gas Turbines/Steam Turbines or relevant functions.
• Proven experience in a customer-facing or Engineering role.
• Strong oral and written communication in English language.
• This role requires around 10-15% travel within and outside of the region.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical resolution to complex Controls system issues with urgency.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Product Management, regional centers, manufacturing, sourcing, vendors, and customers to provide sound resolution.
• Drive complex RCAs through root cause and corrective action, communicating to field teams and leadership.
• Promote GE Vernova Way traits and lean principles in daily activities.

Job Description Summary

The Lead Product Service Engineer - Turbine Controls & Operability provides direct technical support to global GE Vernova Gas Power customers across three primary workstreams.

Job Description Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical resolution to multiple complex Controls system issues including Gas turbine and Steam Controls & Operability with a sense of urgency. Identify trending issues and provide countermeasures to protect our customers’ fleet, then communicate to the relevant audience (TILs, PSxBs, ETCs, OnTheGo alerts, etc.)
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Product Management, Regional Customer Engineering Centers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Vendors, and/or Customers to provide sound technical resolution in a timely manner
• Drive complex RCAs through root cause and corrective action while communicating both internally (field teams, GEV leadership) and externally to end customers
• Lead and promote the GE Vernova Way traits, lean principles, and simplification into day-to-day activities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in engineering from accredited university
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in controls/operations/engineering/ installation of Gas Turbines/Steam Turbines or relevant functions
• Proven experience in a customer-facing or Engineering role
• Strong oral and written communication in English language

Desired Characteristics

• Proven experience with GE Vernova HA/F Class Gas turbines
• Self-starter and resourceful problem-solver that can navigate the GE Vernova resource databases and organizations to deliver a solution, with urgency
• Not afraid of being uncomfortable with the specific technical problem and willingness to apply engineering problem-solving methods to resolve the issue, under pressure
• Ability to communicate at all levels (field engineers, site engineers, plant managers, GE Vernova leadership, etc.)
• Ability to rapidly change directions for multiple concurrent projects based on emergent business priorities
• Expertise in ControlST application algorithms modifications, and turbine operational trend data analysis.

• Strong oral and written communication in Arabic language
