Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Lead Piping Engineer to oversee the design, development and implementation of piping systems for high-profile oil and gas projects. You will ensure safety, compliance with ADNOC standards, and timely delivery within IPMT and EPC Contractor interfaces.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 15+ years of oil and gas piping experience, and at least 5 years in a lead engineering position on large Petrochemical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant oil and gas experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience as Lead Engineer on a major Petrochemical project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with relevant international codes and standards.
• Knowledge of engineering software and general business tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integration of overall Piping Engineering. Overall coordination within IPMT Piping Engineering Team
• Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant’s & EPC Contractor’s Piping Engineering design activities
• Review and approval of Engineering Consultant's and EPC Contractor’s work and ensure compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices
• Coordinate required engineering participation in development and analysis of design options and business models
• Participate in teams for equipment sizing / equipment selection
• Interface with other discipline engineers and contractor teams to resolve technical issues
