Job summary

SEHA - Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. is seeking a physician to lead and supervise delivery of high-quality care across inpatient and outpatient settings in Abu Dhabi.

The role includes coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing complex cases, and ensuring compliant documentation and patient safety. Applicants should have MBBS with postgraduate qualifications (MD/MS/DNB) and a DOH license or eligibility, plus 3–7 years of post-specialty experience.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
• Postgraduate qualification such as MD, MS, or DNB generally required.
• Structured specialty training program completion is expected (e.g., Board Certification or DOH-approved).
• DOH licensing requirements include PSV verification, DOH license exam, and Good Standing certificate.
• 3–7 years of post-specialty clinical experience in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Conduct patient examinations, take histories, order tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Supervise junior medical staff (specialists, GPs, residents) and provide instruction.
• Liaise with other specialties and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
• Provide on-call coverage on a rotational basis (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays).
• Document clinical information accurately and comply with hospital and DOH policies, including infection control.
• Participate in clinical audits, performance management, and risk management initiatives.
• Communicate complex clinical information to patients and families and obtain informed consent.
