About the job PRINCIPAL OFFSHORE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Offshore Structural Engineer to lead and oversee the design, analysis, and execution of offshore structural projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive technical expertise, proven leadership, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams across all phases of offshore oil and gas projects, including conceptual, FEED, EPC, and EPIC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide technical leadership for offshore structural design, analysis, and project execution.


• Lead and supervise engineering teams, ensuring quality and timely delivery of deliverables.


• Develop, review, and approve structural calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.


• Perform advanced analyses for jackets, piled foundations, topside modules, integrated decks, bridges, flare structures, pipeline risers, and brownfield modifications.


• Oversee installation engineering activities, including float-over and float-off methodologies.


• Ensure compliance with international standards (API RP 2A, AISC) and client/OPCO requirements (ADNOC, TOTAL, etc.).


• Manage weight control engineering, including preparation of estimates, monitoring, and reporting.


• Provide expertise in both pre-service and in-service structural integrity assessments.


• Interface with project management teams, clients, certification authorities, subcontractors, and global work-share offices.


• Drive constructability reviews and ensure safe and cost-effective designs.


• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical excellence within the team.


• Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, and compliance throughout all project phases.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Masters degree (M.E./M.Tech) in Structural Engineering highly preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of relevant experience in offshore structural engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading large, complex offshore projects from design through execution.
• Strong track record of client interface and technical leadership in multinational project environments.
• Proficiency in advanced structural analysis software (SACS, USFOS, etc.).
• Comprehensive knowledge of offshore design codes and standards (API RP 2A, AISC, ISO, etc.).
• Extensive practical experience in:
• Jackets & piled foundations
• Topside modules & integrated decks
• Bridges & flare structures
• Pipeline risers
• Installation engineering (float-over/float-off)
• Brownfield and constructability modifications
• Strong expertise in structural integrity analyses and weight control engineering.
