A leading company in the oil & gas sector is seeking a seasoned Lead Inspector to manage inspection activities from planning through execution. The role involves supervising a team, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications, and resolving technical issues. The ideal candidate will possess significant industry experience and strong leadership skills.
Lead, plan, and coordinate all inspection activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Review and approve inspection and test plans (ITPs), procedures, and vendor documentation.
Conduct inspections at vendor sites and ensure adherence to contractual and technical specifications.
Supervise and mentor a team of inspection engineers and inspectors.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of inspection findings and maintain traceable documentation.
Liaise with procurement, engineering, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution.
Resolve technical issues related to inspection and recommend corrective actions when needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering in a related discipline.
Minimum 15 years of experience in inspection roles within oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industry sectors.
Strong experience in vendor and procurement inspection (not quality control).
In-depth knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
