A leading engineering services company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a qualified Safety Engineer to implement and maintain HSE policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, NEBOSH certification, and 5-7 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering services. Strong communication skills in English and Arabic are essential. This role involves supervising HSE officers and ensuring safety compliance on-site.
Implement and Maintain company HSE policy, procedures and the project HSE plan.
Conduct HSE awareness sessions, Toolbox talks to workforce under his project on daily basis.
Ensures that all PTW required works conducting regarding Company PTW procedures
Ensure that all HSE risk assessment control measures are performed in a proper way
Inspect the project under his authority regularly in daily basis to ensure that all works conducted in a safe way
Reporting any incidents that happens in his project such as: Unsafe acts, Unsafe conditions, Near-misses or Accidents
Has a right to stop unsafe works or nonconformity works against project HSE plan, company procedures or HSE standards
Supervise and lead the subcontractors HSE officers.
·Bachelor’s degree or certification related to the field.
·Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience working within a similar position preferably with exposure to construction or engineering services.
·NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
·Relevant experience of ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001.
·OSHA General and Construction Industries.
·Firefighting and First Aid certification.
·Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Arabic.
·Ability to work in a fast pace, results-oriented, matrix environment under minimal supervision.
·Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
·TAQA approved HSE Engineer
