Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineer to supervise electrical, mechanical, control, and instrumentation works on major infrastructure projects in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The position involves technical supervision, engineering reviews, equipment inspections, testing, commissioning, and the handover of integrated electromechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Master's degree in engineering is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience including electromechanical supervision.
• Experience with DEWA and Dubai Civil Defence requirements.
• Experience with testing, commissioning and handover of electromechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage distribution and integrated infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electromechanical installations during construction.
• Verify compliance with drawings, technical specifications, and standards.
• Monitor LV distribution, pumping systems, switchgear and related infra.
• Review shop drawings, ITPs, submittals, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with site inspectors and contractors to ensure quality.
• Identify non-conformances and guide corrective actions before handover.
• Ensure coordination with civil works and other disciplines.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
