Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd in Dubai is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Infrastructure to supervise electrical systems for major road and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on LV-HV networks, street lighting, power distribution, and telecom ducts, ensuring compliance with approved designs and UAE authority standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 15 years of construction-supervision experience within UAE roads and utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 15 years of electrical construction-supervision experience.
• Extensive UAE roads and infrastructure project experience.
• Proven ability to supervise street-lighting and traffic-signal systems.
• Experience overseeing electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of LV-HV networks and power-distribution infrastructure.
• Familiarity with DEWA, ADDC and RTA standards.
• Understanding of UAE electrical codes and authority procedures.
• Ability to review electrical shop drawings and material submittals.
• Experience coordinating contractors, consultants and utility authorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect electrical works across roads and infrastructure projects.
• Oversee LV-HV networks, street lighting and power-distribution systems.
• Monitor telecom ducts and associated electrical utility works.
• Review electrical shop drawings and provide technical comments or approvals.
• Evaluate material submittals and construction method statements.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and authority requirements.
• Coordinate electrical works with civil and mechanical construction activities.
• Monitor electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
