Wood is recruiting for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join its UAE Business Unit focusing on assigned electrical engineering work scopesfor a Major Onshore Brownfield Project in Sharjah, UAE. This role is a full-time office-based role in Sharjah, UAE.

Expected :

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Specialist experience of 132kV Overhead Transmission Line and Switchgear design, with site installation support to the contractor
• Experience of Primary / Secondary substation design to 6.6kV, with site installation support to the contractor
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in the oil and gas industry
• Minimum of 6 years proven capability in an engineering design company
• Experience of participation in EHAZOP, ETAP, HAZOP, HAZID and SIL Rating studies
• Experience working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
• Familiar with the typical software packages that are used for Electrical engineering design
• Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards
• Membership of a recognized professional institute preferred
