Job Title: Lead DevOps Engineer (Startup)

About the Role

We are working with an exciting AI company in Dubai that is entering a rapid expansion phase. The company is founded by leaders with backgrounds in enterprise transformation (50+ enterprise clients). They are now looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer who is hands‑on, innovative, and ready to build scalable, robust systems from a strong foundation.

What You’ll Do

• Own CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and infrastructure setup that can scale as the company grows
• Work across cloud environments to design cost‑efficient, secure, and performant services
• Implement containerization (Docker, orchestration tools), enable auto‑scaling, enforce observability and performance monitoring
• Introduce and enforce best practices around reliability, deployment, and infrastructure maintenance
• Work closely with product, engineering, and ML teams to align DevOps work with roadmap priorities
• Mentor and guide junior/mid DevOps engineers; help define the infrastructure & operations culture

What We’re Looking For

• 6‑8 years of DevOps / infrastructure experience, especially in product‑focused companies. Experience in AI is a huge plus.
• Strong background in Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred)
• Good understanding of scalability, deployment challenges, observability, and system performance
• Basic security experience: managing secrets, access controls, ensuring secure configuration etc.
• Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, driving process, hands‑on problem solving, proactive attitude
