We are seeking a DevOps Lead to take full ownership of our CI/CD strategy, containerization, Helm charts, and continuous testing integration for AI Agent workflows.

Our core application stack relies heavily on Python and agentic frameworks such as LangGraph and Microsoft Agent Framework (MAF). While solution leads design the AI models and a dedicated infrastructure team manages cloud resources and Kubernetes clusters, you will own the DevOps domain.

You will manage pipeline logic, maintain application Dockerfiles (built on client-hardened base images), author Helm charts, and architect runner-to-LLM network workarounds—all while directly representing DevOps in technical client discussions. We value architectural simplicity: any custom utilities or proxies built to resolve connectivity issues should leverage our existing Python ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• DevOps Leadership & Client Engagement: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients—leading discussions, guiding strategy, and setting delivery expectations.

  
  

• CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Design, build, and optimize complex GitLab CI pipelines tailored for non-deterministic AI agent workflows.

  
  

• Containerization & Packaging:

  
  

  • Maintain and optimize multi-stage Dockerfiles leveraging enterprise/hardened base images.

    
    

  • Author and maintain Helm charts for deploying microservices onto client-managed Kubernetes clusters.

    
    

• Python Toolchain & AI Testing Integration: Integrate pytest, evaluation frameworks, and LLM observability tools directly into automated CI workflows.

  
  

• Runner Connectivity & Custom Utilities: Build lean, Python-native proxies or intermediary bridges to resolve network/runner isolation issues with LLM endpoints.

  
  

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal AI Solution Leads and external Azure/Kubernetes Infrastructure teams.

  
  

Mandatory Requirements (Must-Have)

• GitLab CI Mastery: Deep, senior-level expertise in designing, writing, and optimizing advanced GitLab CI pipelines.

  
  

• Docker & Helm Expertise: Strong hands-on experience authoring Helm charts and multi-stage Dockerfiles (including working with hardened/enterprise base images).

  
  

• Python Ecosystem: Advanced knowledge of Python package management, virtual environments, and test automation (pytest).

  
  

• AI/LLM CI/CD Experience: Practical experience automating deployment and testing loops for non-deterministic AI or agentic software.

  
  

• Azure & Kubernetes Literacy: Solid understanding of Kubernetes manifests, Azure services, and runner environments to direct infrastructure resolution effectively.

  
  

• Client-Facing Leadership: Excellent communication skills with experience presenting technical strategy directly to clients.

  
  

• Pragmatic Mindset: Commitment to keeping tech stacks simple—preferring lightweight Python-native scripts and tools over unnecessary external libraries or languages.

  
  

Desirable Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Agentic Frameworks: Hands-on exposure to LangGraph or Microsoft Agent Framework (MAF)—specifically executing, mocking, and capturing traces from agent loops within test suites.

  
  

• LLM Observability: Experience integrating tools like OPIK, LangSmith, or similar evaluation tools into CI/CD.

  
  

• Custom Networking Utilities: Experience writing lightweight Python routing scripts or proxies to bypass runner network blocks.

  
  

• Secondary CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines.
