Job summary

gevernova is seeking a Lead Commissioning Specialist to oversee installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of DCS controls for gas power projects. You will coordinate with clients and project teams, review P&ID and engineering documents, and direct field resources to meet contractual requirements.

The role requires extensive experience with DCS systems (Mark Vie, Cimplicity, HMI) and strong knowledge of rotating equipment control philosophy, with the ability to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electronic/electrical engineering or Diploma in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in GEV DCS Controls systems such as Mark Vie/s.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas and Power Plant industry field activities.
• Strong knowledge in rotating equipment control philosophy (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Centrifugal Compressor, Reciprocate Compressor) and their auxiliaries.
• Strong knowledge in synchronous machine control philosophy Generator and their auxiliaries.
• Strong knowledge in unit control panel (UCP), MCC, DCP, DCS and firefighting system installation and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge in field devices, instruments and actuators.
• Valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport).
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage controls and instrumentation activities on-site during Installation.
• Commissioning and Maintenance of upgrade project or new installation with oversight of installation and diagnostics for DCS controls systems.
• Provide customers with technical direction and support on OEM packaged products.
• Understand PLC ladder logic and troubleshoot.
• Set up and modify hardware/software for DCS of BOP, Gas and Steam Turbine systems.
• Troubleshoot existing DCS Control installations on-site.
• Prepare field services jobs and coordinate with project/service managers.
• Provide training to customer employees as needed.
• Travel frequently (75%+), including offshore and restricted countries.
