Job summary

WSP seeks a Resident Engineer - Civil in Abu Dhabi to lead on-site civil works for overhead transmission lines, coordinating with EPC teams and clients. You will ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence, review drawings, manage permits, and drive quality during construction.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in civil engineering with 15+ years in transmission line projects, demonstrates leadership, and is proficient with AutoCAD, PLS-Cadd and PLS-Pole, with willingness to travel as

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; Master's preferred.
Minimum 15 years of civil engineering experience focused on overhead transmission line projects.
Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and AutoCAD.
PE license preferred; willingness to travel and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary on-site technical leader for EPC civil works, supervising contractors and daily OHL construction.
Review and approve civil drawings, shop drawings, and submittals; ensure compliance with ITPs and method statements.
Ensure HSE compliance and promote a safety-first culture on site.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, attend progress meetings, and submit progress reports.
Manage permits/NOCs and maintain site documentation (RFIs, NCRs).
Provide technical guidance, resolve inquiries, and mitigate project risks with project team.
